First of all, since usually even the smallest sizes are too big for me, I knitted it in the smallest size on a slightly smaller needle. It came out way too small, and I had to rip it all back to nothing.

We've been spending any time we have in the garden. It's meant a lot less knitting, and a lot less being on the computer in general, which is really great. Those are some cut flowers from the garden.

I haven't written in a long time. Partially haven't had the time, partially haven't had the desire. 
We've been spending a lot of time in our garden. I've planted lots of seeds. Aren't my beet seedlings pretty? And those are some broad beans in front of the beets. I had the beans outside, but the stupid squirrels kept digging them up, so I've started them indoors instead.

I spent the afternoon having a lovely potluck, with my good friends Miss Mildred, Marieke &amp; Paul, TK, MK, and PB. And, they all took lots of my stuff (books, yarn, kitchenware), so I don't have to trash it, give it to strangers (not that that's a bad thing), and especially so I don't have to figure out how to get it to London. It was an amazing show, I think because it had this quietness to it, but also a lot going on. Every time I looked at a painting and thought I didn't like it, the second time or third time I walked by it, I would notice some squibble of paint, or a shadow, and it would make me suddenly realize that I really did like it.
