New Projects Redux

I frogged the spidery tank. I had started it with a bit of trepidation - it was the only pattern in the new interweave knits that I even kind of liked - but I knew I wouldn't really like it, and I wasn't enjoying knitting it. Instead, I'm now knitting the coquette tube top (rav link) from fitted knits.

I'm thinking of extending it so it's more of a tunic, so I can use it at the beach. If not the beach, then maybe the Lido in London Fields? This is the third garment I've attempted with this yarn, so hopefully as they say, third time's a charm... And so far, I'm much more pleased with it.

I've been feeling a bit blue lately. I think it's just post partum blues: last week I had a lot of work, and so all of a sudden having no work (besides looking for work) is a bit of a downer.

So sorry you had to frog your tank, love the color and I your new knit will look great as a tunic. Good luck with work!

I hope your having a bit more time for knitting during this brief lull in work will help shoo those pesky blues away.

With regard to your ditched spidery tank, 'my friend' Tracey Ullman says that being unwilling to frog is like staying too long in a bad relationship. Hee! So good for you.

I've seen your tube top pattern in Fitted Knits. What a terrific idea to knit it into a tunic. You will just be the cutest little coquette at the Lido, you will! ;)

Sorry to hear about the frogging, but I think the tube top will work out brilliantly in that yarn.

I hope you're adjusting to the shock of having free time - I'm in mad panic stage as my coursework is due in a fortnight! Would you consider hiring out your editing services???

Good luck with the tunic, and with the job-hunting.

Ah the coquette tunic's looking good! At least the extra time can be put to good knitting, and I'm sure more work will come before long.
